How many people can you take on tours?
Our coaches take 11-14 passengers plus the Tour Guide/ Driver. If you have a larger group that is no problem we can provide a quotation for any number pf people
Are you licensed to operate?
Yes there are strict guidelines and we have passed all of them. All our drivers are police vetted and hold a current passenger license and Arrow Tours is a licensed Operator with NZTA and we are Qualmark endorsed by Tourism NZ to operate
Do cruise ships dock at the Port of Tauranga?
Yes they do it is a very modern port situated at Mt Maunganui and after docking if you are pre- bookked or not there is a short walk of appro 300-500 metres through a security check point , we will be waiting with your name on a Welcome Board on the other side

Every day , 365 Days of the year
What time do tours depart?
If you are a cruise passenger and you would like to join one of our tours they leave around 8.30 as most have a duration of 6-7 hours and you will be back in plenty of time to do things locally.
How is payment made?
You can either book and pay online or arrange for payment by cash or from one on of the many Bank Atm’s situated close to the Port
What are your pick up and drop off points?
All Cruise ship tours start from the Port of Tauranga situated in Salisbury avenue downtown Mt Maunganui If you are not visiting on a Cruise ship pick ups can be arranged from anywhere including Tauranga Airport or your Tauranga or Mount Maunganui accommodation.
What is included in the cost of the tours featured on your website?
The cost includes a personally guided tour, transport and all entrance fees to all the attractions listed in the tour itinerary. Also included are snacks, bottled water and FREE WIFI
Do you offer tours other than those featured on your website?
Yes, we are happy to provide you with your own customized tour. We would provide you with a quote when you have told us your requirements.
What if I’m late back to the cruise ship?
Arrow Tours guarantee you back to your ship on time or in the unlikely event it may happen ( it hasn’t happened yet) you will be transported back to your ship the next day and all costs will be incurred by Arrow Tours
Is lunch included?
Lunch is an additional cost, but we do provide snacks and bottled water
What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
Our tours depart in NZ ‘s Spring and summer regardless of weather and our main attractions are a 45 minute drive to Rotorua so it pays to be prepared so we do provide umbrellas on our coaches. If bad weather prevents your ship from docking (again it hasn’t happened yet) and you have pre paid your tour then a full refund will be made.
What do I need to bring on the tours?
We suggest you bring a hat, sunscreen, a raincoat and warm clothing as New Zealand’s weather can be very changeable.
Do you provide children’s booster seats?
Yes we provide Booster seats Free of Charge (they are a legal requirement in NZ for children under the age of 7 years) if Baby seats are required there will be a small additional charge ( we hire them from Plunket )
